STOP EXTRA-JUDICIAL KILLING!

It’s been 41 days since the brutal killing of Pastor Isaias Sta. Rosa last August 3, 2006 at his residence in Brgy. Malobago, Daraga, Albay. Pastor was a former consultant and active member of United Methodist Church, Albay. He extended his undying service to the needy majority being the former Executive Director of FARMER (Farmers Assistance Management for Rural Management, Education and Rehabilitation, Inc.). He was also a member of Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas (KMP-Albay) and served as Executive Director of San Isidro Labrador Institute (SILI).

The Justice for Isaias Movement believed that the series of killings reflect the anti-people and fascist regime of Gloria Macapagal Arroyo after declaring an all out war against enemies of the state. Masking her declaration as war against CPP-NPA-NDF, the reality still justify that it is her war against those who will oppose her policies and program.

War against those who seek justice for all the victims of human rights violations, truth behind Hello Garci controversy and rampant corruption issues. War against those who ask decent salary and wages, land for the farmer and urban poor sector, and respect for human rights.

At present, KARAPATAN-Bikol have recorded 117 persons killed. Mostly are members of progressive organizations like KMP.

We condemn GMA all-out war policy. We call on the government officials, especially the congressmen, to support the House Committee on Justice Investigation on Pastor Isaias and other victims of extra-judicial killings.
