![]() Candle for Justice, Flower of Hope and Scripture for Peace and Comfort On August 3, 2006 Pastor Isaias Sta. Rosa, Pastor of the Poor, was killed by perpetrators positively identified to be members of the AFP 19th Infantry Division. To mark the first death anniversary, a memorial service to remember the life and service of Pastor Sta. Rosa was held at the Central United Methodist Church in Manila. This was followed by a candle-lighting ceremony at the nearby Plaza Salamanca to protest the unresolved cases of extra-judicial killings and enforced disappearnces under the Arroyo regime.
